If you have been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), ulcerative colitis, indeterminate colitis, or Crohn’s disease, you may be eligible for this research study. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is now eligible, as well!

Is compensation offered?
Yes! In the form of Amazon or CharityVest virtual giftcard, we will provide $125 for 3 samples or $250 for 6 samples collected & processed. (Additional terms are listed in our consent form.)
What will I need to do?

Total estimated duration: 3-4 months

We’ll mail you collection kits.

Your 3 baseline samples are spaced 3 months apart.

If you flare, you collect whenever* that happens in this 3 month window.

Each sample collection takes about 15 minutes.

All your samples are sent back to us via mail. We’ll cover the postage and even cover the cost to pick up from your home!

How is this research unique?
ImYoo takes a “molecular snapshot” of your immune system to look at your immune cells’ behavior.Typically, study participants have to commute to a research clinic for this test. As a result, low-income, rural, and busy people have been under-represented in the research.
ImYoo has adapted this test for self-collection, so you can participate from home and collect multiple snapshots over time.
Why research IBD flares?And why compare them to RA flares?
IBD flares are episodes of acute inflammation. Symptoms can include blood in the stool, joint pain and swelling, and skin irritation. These symptoms can persist for up to 8 weeks!
