Technology Platform Details
If you are thinking about working with ImYoo the information below will give you an idea of what we need and how long each step takes.
Input samples: 200ul of fresh whole blood or cryopreserved PBMCs. Fresh capillary blood samples can be collected in less than 3 minutes with the TAP II device, and then processed and cryopreserved as PBMCs.
Output data: FASTQ files processed into cell-type annotated gene count matrices.
Results: differentially expressed genes and related pathways on a per cell type basis.
Platform steps and length
Sample collection from patient: 30 minutes or less for in-person studies
PBMC isolation: 4 hours of lab work, with the possibility of cryopreservation
scRNA-seq and library preparation: 3 days of lab work
Sequencing: 2-3 weeks turnaround time with current sequencing providers. Samples need to be sequenced on a Illumina NovaSeq
Data download, alignment and annotation: 2 days
Data processing and analysis: 3 days for simple comparisons. Output are lists of differentially expressed genes per cell type and gene ontology results. Multi-weeks for refined experiments such as time courses, need to be discussed on a case by case basis.
